# Referrals

> Share seenpaid, earn free months when the people you refer subscribe, and climb a milestone ladder.

The **Refer & earn** program gives you a share link, credits you a free month when someone you referred becomes a paying subscriber, and adds milestone bonuses as your referrals stack up.

## How it works

    Open **Settings → Refer & earn**. Your share link is created the first time you visit; it looks like `seenpaid.com/?ref=YOURCODE`.

    When someone signs up through your link, they're tracked as your referral.

    When a referred account becomes a paying subscriber, you get **one free month** and they get a welcome discount on their first invoice.

## The milestone ladder

The per-referral months and the milestone bonuses stack. The page shows your progress to the next milestone and your months earned so far.

## Fair by design

* **One referral per new account**; self-referrals don't count.
* **Refunds reverse the reward**: if a referred subscriber refunds or charges back, that conversion and its month are voided. Milestones already reached aren't clawed back.
* Rewards are triggered by real, paid conversions verified through billing, never by signups alone.
